Welcome to Process Art Discovery—a quiet, story-driven home for art, creative lives, and work worth remembering, rooted in the Okanagan.
Art is more than the finished piece on a wall.
It is the decisions, experiments, unexpected turns, and quiet moments that happen along the way. It is also the life behind the work—the experiences, ideas, memories, and stories that shaped the person who created it.
Our roots are in process art: the belief that how something is made can be every bit as meaningful as the finished result. Over time, that curiosity has grown into something larger.
Through films, interviews, photography, writing, books, and archival material, Process Art documents and preserves the creative lives of artists and others with stories worth keeping.
We are interested in:
Some stories begin with a painting. Others begin with a conversation, a photograph, a memory, or a life’s work.
Process Art is a place for those stories to remain.
Unleash your inner artist through the power of play.
Hello, I’m Lorenz Plourde, owner of Kelowna Video Solutions and the creator behind Process Art Discovery.
My path to this work did not begin with a camera.
It began with a fascination for how people create—how ideas take shape, how environments influence us, and how stories can be carried through images, objects, places, and experiences.
That curiosity eventually led me to process art, where the journey of making can be every bit as revealing as the finished work.
Over time, Process Art grew beyond simply documenting how artists create.
Today, I use film, photography, interviews, writing, books, and archival material to explore and preserve creative lives, meaningful work, personal histories, and stories that deserve to remain accessible.
Sometimes that begins with an artist and a body of work.
Sometimes it begins with an old photograph, a conversation, a family tradition, a collection, or a story that might otherwise disappear.
What interests me most is not simply what someone has made, but what shaped them, what they learned, and what might be lost if nobody takes the time to ask.
Process Art Discovery has gradually become a home for those stories—a place where art, memory, creativity, and lived experience can be documented and shared at a gentler pace.
Thank you for spending some time here.
Every person who watches, reads, remembers, or becomes curious helps these stories continue.
